Physiotherapy assistant
Growing up as a young child she was heavily involved in many sports such as artistic gymnastics, karate and competitive dance. Between the ages of 4 to 9, she was a national level competitive artistic gymnast training upwards of 25 hours a week. While training as an artistic gymnast she was also able to obtain her black belt in karate at the age of 9. From the ages of 10 to 21 transitioned from being a national level artistic gymnast to becoming a full time competitive dancer in all areas of dance such as tap, ballet, acrobatics, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop and jazz.
Being such a high level athlete from a young age came with its many aches, pains and injuries which led me down the path of many physiotherapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, etc appointments where she began to fall in love with learning about the human body and the way it functions, especially when injured.
After 4 years of graduation in 2021 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Biology, with a special focus in human biology, human anatomy and human physiology. Starting in the Fall of 2021, she will begin her last stretch of education at Sheridan College where she will study and obtain an Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy. She hope to one day be able to work for a major athletic team such as in the NHL or NBA as well as for the Canadian Olympic women’s artistic gymnastic team and then eventually open her own clinic!
